The Delta State Government has signed a memorandum of Understanding with the parties involved in the Don Donmigos Warri water project Scheme.
The MOU which was signed in Asaba at the Ministry of water resources brought together all participating Stakeholders.
Speaking shortly after signing the MOU the Commissioner for water Resources Honourable Sam Marierie said the MOU will enhance the completion of the Warri Water Project and give room to potable Water supply to Warri and it's environ.
He noted that the benefits accruing to the Warri water project
was enormous considering the ecomonic importance of bottle water production of which could be use as a source of revenue drive.
According to him, the Efurun water project is a major project of the state Government, and was of the view that stakeholders must ensure its functionality before the end of December, 2022.
Honourable Marierie also predicted that by January next year three thousand houses would be connected to the Don Donmigos water scheme in warri, Effurun and environ.
The Executive Director, Technical Services, Water Resources and Engr. Samuel Arowosafe who were part of signatory to the MOU promised to do all within their limited to see to the completion of the Don Donmigos water project.
The signing of the MOU was witnessed by the Functioning Permanent Secretary Mr. Frank Igho Adeda, Mr Temitope Akinyemi the CEO of Don Domingos , Engr. Nosa Okoh, the GM Delta State Urban Water cooperation and other participating stakeholders.
