National Identification Number, compulsory, for Train Passengers

 The Nigeria Railway Co operation has stated that the National Identification Number (NIN) is compulsory for passengers, boarding train.

This is coming as part of security measures to checkmate activities inimical to the  Nigeria Railway operation.

The Nigeria Railway cooperation also noted that it was dangerous to use your NIN to purchase tickets for an unknown person as it could be regarded as a criminal offence.

The co operation advised existing profile owners to update their profile with their NIN while those with new profile  registration must provide their NIN
