.A visit to midwifery market Okpanman Road and Ogbeogonogo market at Nnebisi road reviewed that the items needed for the Christmas celebration were majorly food items like rice, chicken, and for those who could not afford chicken majorly goes for beef and may want it fresh rather than buy and preserve it.
Major crowd was observed at the chicken stand and other perishable items, like tomatoes fresh paper and vegetables.
Some respondents said the last minute rush for the Christmas celebration was as a result of the current economic challenge as many gets their financial break through just few hours before the Christmas.
Some hoped that food items may be cheaper , assuming that many would have stocked up their home, prepared for the holidays.
Other Respondents stated that confronted by their children complains to join in the Christmas holiday celebration had left them with no other option than to borrow and buy the much needed items for the festive period.
