The APC house of assembly candidate for patani constituency,Barr Raymos Guanah has said that when senator Ovie Omo Agege becomes governor of delta state,the reoccurring conflicts between herdsmen and farmers will be a thing of the past.
Barr Raymos Guanah made the declaration at Bulu Apelebiri community in Patani LGA at a ceremony to receive some PDP members who decamped to the APC.
Barr Guanah was responding to a worry raised by some of the persons who complained about the challenges they face with the herdsmen on their farms.
Barr Raymos Guanah assured them that senator Ovie Omo Agege has a blue print that will not only bring an end to the farmers/herders Crisis,but the people will be beneficiaries of the process as they will earn money from the Omo Agege formula to resolve the crisis.
Speaking further, Barr Raymos Guanah assured the people that they will be exposed to mechanised farming and that they will be captured in the Omo Agege plan to identify, develop and promote crops that are peculiar to different areas of the state.
Bulu Apelebiri is an agrarian community that cultivate cassava, sweet potatoes, pepper , guava etc
He assured them that in the Omo Agege agricultural revolution, farmers will be encouraged to cultivate big farms as there are plans for offtakers to pick up the products and thus eliminate wastage arising from food products going bad because of lack of off takers and preservation mechanism.
Barr Raymos Guanah assured the people that when elected,he will ensure that a cassava processing facility is sited in the tarakiri axis to ease the process of manual processing of cassava and garri, because the facility will be complete with all machinery for processing and up to frying of the garri
