The Executive Secretary Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission Rev. Dr Yakubu Pam, has said that the unity of the country was of top priority especially during electioneering period.
Rev Pam made stated this while addressing the 5th batch of the December 2022 intending pilgrims comprising Delta, Borno and Kogi State at the Departure hall of the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport in Abuja.
He said a Nation with unity of purpose would achieve growth and conquer all challenges, Stressing that of utmost importance is the need for pilgrims to pray for Nigeria as they embark on spiritual exercise to Israel and Jordan.
The Executive Secretary said unity of the nation was what the Commission stands for adding that Pilgrimage was the platform through which Nigerians can get more united, while revealing that the Commission had always recorded a huge success and zero tolerance to abscondment, adding that, states had always adhere to warnings and implications of such actions.
He commended Nigerians for always showing signs of discipline, patriotism and abiding to law during pilgrimage execise.
He charged them to be proud Ambassadors and good representatives of the country.
The Delta State Executive Secretary, Apostle Samuel Okoh said nation building would be incomplete without the Church, hence the need for the exercise.
Apostles Okoh said he was optimistic that the Pilgrims would impact upon the nations and various families.
He commended the State Governor, Senetor Ifeanyi Okowa for approving the 386 pilgrims to the Holy lands, adding that Deltans were not only going on the tour but representing the national front.
The Executive Chairman, Kogi State Christian Pilgrims Commission advised them to be of worthy character and pray fervently for the nation as well as enhance the Nations unity that every Nigerian had longed for.
