The people of Idumugbe viliage in Asaba have appealed to the State government to look into the land dispute between them and the commissioner for lands and Survey who hails from Ibusa in Aniocha North local government.

They stated this during a press briefing held  in Asaba



The Diokpa of Idumugbe villiage Mr Ngozi Mordi along side other community members said all relivant ducunmentation to the Ownership of the land are in possession of the state government and wonder while the lands commissioner  said it was government acquired, and  appealed to other organs of the Delta State  government for verification stressing that several documents had been issued the by Delta State Ministry of land to individuals that bought lands from the Idumugbe villiage.

According to them the state government took a portion of the said land for the construction of the Asaba international Air Port and wondered why the  present commissioner for lands would want to encroach into the portion reserved for the Idumugbe community.  

Mr Emmanuel  Nnamaka said his life savings while abroad had been  invested on real estate in the said land which was recently reduced to rubbles , after all relivant ducunmentation  was done with the Delta state  government, and called on other organs of state government for intervention.
