The event which took place in Asaba attracted members of the Delta State Sport Commission, friends, well wishes and the Branches Representives meeting members ( BRM) from different part of the country to Asaba.
Presenting the award by the National President (BRM )Mr Matthew Emedel of Ogume Ogbole in Ndokwa west Local government area said the award was to encourage youth to be more focus and dedicated in any field of endeavour.
The National President (BRM)who was represented by the National Secretary of the body Mr Ernest Ossai said the BRM deemed it necessary to honour miss Onyah with a view to encourage sons and daughters of Ogume Ogbole to emulate her.
According to him, it was the first of it's kind in the history of BRM to give such an award, stressing that, she had earlier won gold medal at the National sports festival hosted by the Delta State Government and had also won an international gold medal at Zambia 2023.
So far, Mis Onyah has won nine medals to her credit, and an award of Africa silver medalist.
Highlights of the event was an award presentation and the sum of two hundred thousands Naira to miss Onyah by BRM as well as cash gift from other members of BRM.
