EDOKUGHO URGES RETIREES TO BE PREPARED FOR LIFE AFTER RETIREMENT.

Retirees have been advised to always give thanks to God for guilding them peacefully and keeping them healthy though out their active age in service . The chairperson ,Agric services Welfare Association, under the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources Mrs Esanye Edukugho gave the advice at a send forth party held in Asaba , organized by the ministry for 20 retirees that retired in 2022 She said it was not an easy task to have put in 30 or 35 years of meritorious service to them state or country without blemish. Mrs Edukugho appealed to the state government to look into the payment of retirees as it would be difficult to retire without the benefits. She advised the retirees to have hope and stressed that life after retirement could be difficult while advising them to seek an alternative means of livelihood instead of being idle The Director, Agric services Department,Mr.Kenneth Awala represented by Mr.Sunny Uloko advised the retirees to ensure that they visit their pension Administrators to determine the position of their pension fund. One of the retirees Mr.Frank Okolotu who spoke on behalf of the retirees thanked the organizers for honor done them and prayed that their 30 to 35 years service to the State should be rewarding even as they wait patiently for their retirements benefits. He advised them to seek alternative source of income to live a quality life that would enable them surmount life challenges.
