ICAN ASABA DISTRICT INSTALLS THE 15TH CHAIRPERSON FOR 2023/2024

The investiture of 15 Chairperson of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria, Asaba District has been installed, for the year 2023 to 2024 Calender. The installation ceremony which took place in Asaba attracted personalities to include the Delta State Deputy Governor Sir Monday Enyeme and Wife as well as other prominent personalities. Mrs Ogochukwu Aganoke who emerged as ICAN Asaba District Chairperson promised continuous development of the district as well as the completion of the resource centre and secretariat building She emphasized that the catch them young program by ICAN Asaba District would be given priority attention while the capacity building and training programs earlier put in place by previous executives of the body would be Continued by the present Executives of ICAN While promising to bring in experience resource person's to educate members, on burning societal issues. The 59th ICAN President Dr innocent Okwuosa represented by Mrs Lucy Okena advised the newly installed Asaba District ICAN EXCO to apply wisdom while discharging their duties and hold on to the tenet of the ICAN profession. The Chairman planning committee on investiture Mr Martyns Obiefuna said the Asaba district society has elected professionals who possess the capacity to uphold, sustain and promote the mission statement of the ICAN Profession. The 14th ICAN chairman Asaba district Mr Daniel Odeh and immediate past chairman ICAN commended the good working relationship between all members of his exco and thanked them for their support and co operation, while also stating that a lot was accomplished during his tenure especially the building of the ICAN Secretariat. The Guest speaker at the event and member representing Oshimili South Constituency in the state house of Assembly Honourable Bridget Anyafulu who spoke on good parental up bringing noted that proper upbringing of a child is the bed rock to a well structured family and an identity in which a nation is embedded. She said an environment could be critical to the development and up bringing of a child and that the Delta state government had put modalities on ground to enhance Child development in the state. The event featured the investiture and cutting of the ICAN cake.
