The Chief Inspector of Education in charge of Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, Mrs. Asini Vera has provided water borehole and connected their field office with power supply.
Mrs. Asini , who made the disclosure while speaking with newsmen in Effurun , commended the Permanent Secretary in the State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Augustine Oghoro for his innovative ideas geared towards taking the Ministry to enviable height.
She attributed the success of the Ministry's workforce to the support of the Permanent Secretary.
She recalled that their field office was sharing fence with Our Lady's College, Effurun that was supplying the office of the Chief Inspector of Education with water and light before the school stopped the suppl
Mrs. Asini identified high cost of shouldering the bill for the water and electricity supply by the school as the reason for the termination of the supply to them by the school.
The CIE explained that in a bid to make the place comfortable for her staff considering the fact that water and power supply were essential needs of every individual, she carried out the initiative with the cooperation of her staff .
She noted that conducive working environment would enhance productivity, adding that her staff should redouble their commitment to service delivery.
Mrs. Asini appreciated the management of Our Lady's College, Effurun for the period of time it rendered such assistance to the CIE's office and urged her staff to make good use of the borehole.
Some of her staff in the field office who spoke lauded her gesture and described Mrs. Asini as a team player and very accommodating woman.
