The Delta State Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education in Mrs. Rose Ezewu has reiterated her unwavering commitment towards transformation the education system in the State in line with the MORE agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori's administration.
Mrs. Ezewu stated this in Asaba, when she officially assumed her second term in office,
She commended members of staff of her ministry for their support during her first time as Commissioner and urged them to sustain their cooperation for the overall benefits of the education sector.
Mrs. Ezewu admonished staff of the Ministry to brace up for effective service delivery, adding that they should redouble their commitment to duties.
She said that her reappointment as Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education by the State Governor was an affirmation of her contributions to the growth and development of the education .
Mrs. Ezewu noted that the MORE agenda would be reflected in the education sector, stressing that she was happy to be reappointed as Commissioner.
In an interview with newsmen, Commissioner, however, noted that as the 2022-2023 Academic Session approached , parents should prepare their children and wards for resumption in September.
She decried the increasing rate of moral decadence in the society and enjoined parents to inculcate moral values on their children.
Earlier, the Director of Administration in the Ministry, Mr. Henry Odum ,who represented the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Augustine Oghoro told the Commissioner that the staff of the Ministry would continue to support and cooperate with her in moving the ministry forward.
