SCHOOL RESUMPTION: ASHIBOGWU ORDERS ERRING TEACHERS TO REPORT TO ASABA, EXPRESSES SATISFACTION WITH OTHERS' COMPLIANCE

Delta State  Government (DTSG), has ordered some primary school teachers who were not in their duty posts at the first day of school resumption to come to the State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education to explain the rationale behind such nonchalant attitude.

The State Commissioner for Primary Education, Dr. Kingsley Ashibogwu gave the directive while monitoring the level of compliance with school resumption across the state.

 Dr. Ashibogwu , however, expressed satisfaction with the unprecedented level of compliance a good number of teachers and learners..


Dr. Ashibogwu , who said that he was overwhelmed with the rate of commitment and dedication to duty and frowned at the attitudes of other primary school teachers who were yet to resume.


The Commissioner , accompanied by the Director of Schools in the Ministry, Mrs. Ighavbota Winifred,  frowned at the nonchalant attitude of such teachers.

He directed the erring teachers to come to Asaba and explained why they were not in their duty posts when he visited.

While urging teachers to discharge their duties with utmost commitment, Dr. Ashibogwu noted that as teachers, they were critical stakeholders in the development of the society...
 
He told them that that the State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education would not tolerate any indiscriminate act that could bring negative impact on the education sector .

Dr. Ashibogwu, however, advised the pupils to take their studies seriously, adding that there was need for collective efforts in bringing up the children in the right path.

The Head teachers, who spoke in their various schools pledged their unalloyed loyalty to the Oborevwori led administration and restated their support to the Primary Education Commissioner for his avowed commitment to drive the MORE agenda of the state government in the primary education system.



Schools visited by the Commissioner included Eke Model primary school, Kwale, Ndokwa West Local Government Area, Iyiatu Primary School, Kwale, Owessea Primary School Kwale also in Ndokwa West Local Government Area Uzi Primary School , Oleh, Asagba Primary School, Oleh,  Ozuha Primary School, Oleh as well as well as Odoro Primary School,Oleh,  all in Isoko South Local Government Area as well as Azugha Primary School, Ota-Owhe in Isoko North Local Government Area of the state.

Other public primary schools visited by Dr. Ashibogwu were Oharisi primary school, Ughelli in Ughelli North Local Government Area, Okighe Primary School, Ekpan, Uvwie Local Government Area.
