An Asaba magistrate court presided over by Mr.C.I.Mueteke, has granted bail to Obi Nduka Elunor arrested for alleged illegal possession of firearms in Asaba, Delta State Capital.
Obi Elunor who appeared in court on December 11 2023 and has been in the custody of the DSS Personnel since on the 6th of December and was given bail conditions to meet.
Investigations revealed that Elunor was arrested following a petition written against him by some members of his community over land matter in Ugwu-Nwosu, located near Asaba.
According to information Obi Elunor's was earlier invited by the DSS to their office and subsequently, a searched was carried out at his palace where it was reported that AK-47 rifles and other suspicious items were recovered.
Some of his workers were also arrested.
Meanwhile the case had been adjourned to January 17, 2024 for further hearing.
