President WIAN charges Members to key into Associations policies and programmes.

The President of Women in Agriculture Network LIFE-ND Mrs Fidelia Eze Owenz has visited Otulu Community in Aniocha South Local government Area of Delta State to attend the first Otulu WIAN meeting after the Presidents first visit some months ago. She stated that the State WIAN chapter would provide WIAN OTULU with mazie drying and shelling machines to assist the women in their farming activities especially in mazie farming due to its multiplier effect on the economy. . According to her, there is a huge benefit in large scale mazie farming operations as it will help to Carter for fish farmers and poultry farmers when the mazie is processed into feeds. The WIAN President said the dryer machine would enable them over come financial lost due to lack of storage facilities, as well as enable to preserve the farm produce in and out of season. Mrs Owenz said only a token would be paid to access the machines while also educating the Otulu WIAN on modern trend in Agricultural practices. The President WIAN also visited Mbiri community Ika North East local government area to educated the women farmers on the policies and programmes of WIAN and on the need to register with the body. Mrs Owenz advised all members of WIAN to ensure fully registered with WOMEN IN AGRICULTURE NETWORK LIFE - ND with the registration fee of 500 Naira as well as get engaged in the cooperative with saving benefits and lending of funds with one percent decreasing interest. Highlight of the visit was the presentation of registration forms to new Co Ordinators of WIAN members at Otulu and Mbiri communities.
