The Deputy State Coordinator to the governor,Delta South senatorial district on Religious Matters Dr Godspower Agbuduta has stated the crucial role of prayer in fostering peace and unity within communities
He stated this in an interview with Journalists in Asaba the Delta State Capital while speaking on the recent crisis at Okuoma Community in ughelli South local government area in relation to the killing of Soldiers.
He stated his commitment at promoting inter denominational dialogue and reconciliation between parties involved, Dr Agbuduta emphasized the power of collective prayer as a catalyst for healing and transformation.
The deputy state coordinator religious matters Delta south noted that through prayer and action, the state could overcome division and build a more harmonious society.
According to him As part of efforts to promote peace, Christian Association of Nigeria Bomadi Chapter has organized inter denominational prayer gatherings, and advised members of different religious background to seek divine intervention and guidance, stressing that the gathering serves as platforms through which prayer would give room for effective dialogue, reconciliation, and solidarity.
Dr Agbuduta said the gathering was a proactive engagement which was capable of promoting the MORE Agenda of governor Sheriff Oborevwori while emphasizing the need for leaders and community stakeholders to address underlying grievances and promote understanding.
Similarly the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, in Bomadi, interceded over the killing of soldiers at Okuama community in Ughelli South Local Government Area
The programme with the theme, “A Solemn Assembly Concerning the Situation in the Delta Creeks” featured 15 prayer pointt with Bible readings from Joel 1:13-15, Jeremiah 33:3, 2 Thessalonians 3:16, Psalm 107: 41, featured 15 prayer points for riverine communities and the nation.
The chairman of CAN, Bomadi Local Government chapter, Apostle (Dr) Liberty Usiaiyo, and the head of personnel Management Drg Ihomrore Hope said the programme was to seek God's intervention in the creeks of Delta State
