The Chief Inspector of Education (CIE) for Oshimili South Local Government Area of Delta State, Lady Emiliana Djoma, has stressed the need for people to always follow the will of God and appreciate Him for the gift of life to humanity.
Djoma stated this in Asaba during a birthday party she organized to mark her 58 birth anniversary which was attended by some of her colleagues in the forum of CIEs including the Director of Schools in Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Lady Winifred Ighavbota , Chief Inspector of Education in charge of Okpe , Mrs. Ufuoma Abu , the CIE for Uvwie , Chief (Mrs.) Vera Asini, Isoko South CIE, Mr. Adeda Ekuevugbe , their counterpart in charge of Ethiope West , Toju Egere and the CIE for Oshimili North, Mrs. Rosemary Anyah as well as a former Chief of Inspector of Education, Dr. John Ojogho .
Others, who attended the ceremony were the Principal of Government Model Secondary School, Asaba, Dr. Mrs. Obiajulu Eboka, the Principal of Osadenis Mixed Secondary School, Asaba, Mrs. Patience Aguonye , their counterpart in charge of Zappa Mixed Secondary School, Mrs. Roseline Ogbokor , the Education Secretary for Oshimili South, Comr. (Mrs.) Allanah , staff of the Post Primary Education Board (PPEB), some primary school head teachers in Asaba, NAPHER officials and Anti Cult Squad .
Speaking further, Djoma said that she has every reason to celebrate with her friends, education stakeholders and het staff, adding that the greatest favour from God was the gift of life .
While calling on Christians to make Bible their standard , Djoma said that God was preserving the life of every individual so that they could serve Him in totality.
Djoma used the opportunity to thank all principals and school heads in Asaba for their support thus far and solicited more cooperation in order to sustain the gains recorded in the education sector in the area.
The CIE stated that through collaboration with the people especially the leaders of the host community and the education stakeholders, the issue of insecurity in schools was being surmounted.
