NAPPS SUSPENDS DR. AKPEME IN DELTA FOR PROMOTING ILLEGALITY, PASSES VOTE OF CONFIDENCE ON STATE CHAIRMAN, DCNS (MRS.) YOUNG




The National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS) , Delta State Chapter, has suspended the immediate past National Vice President of the Association for South South, Dr. Ochuko Akpeme for promoting illegality in the Association.


Arising from their general meeting held on March 6, 2024 at Ubulu-Uku in Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State which was attended by members of NAPPS across the state, NAPPS said in its resolutions that , the purported expulsion of their elected State Chairman, Dcns (Mrs.) Precious Nwanne Young by Dr. Akpeme was baseless after a thorough examination of the Dr. Akpeme's purported expulsion of the chairman. 

NAPPS in the state asserted that Dcns (Mrs.) Young was officially elected and was not at any time removed by a competent authority of NAPPS and the house unanimously passed a vote of confidence on their State Chairman who they said had not committed any offence but had been leading the Association in the right direction in the state.

 According to NAPPS in their resolutions , Dr. Akpeme failed to tender an apology to the Association for a threat language used in the CWC meeting held on January 24 at Ozoro but took further steps to publish a memo to illegally expel an elected officials of NAPPS in Delta State without due authority.

The Association  clarified that other members of NAPPS including the immediate past State Chairman, Amb. (Dcn.) Monday O. Ifoghere and the immediate past State Secretary,  Mr. Eric Ejeh  remained members of NAPPS in Delta State.

It could be that the Association has notified by copying the pioneer President of NAPPS in Delta State, Bishop F.C.O Mikpayibo , who is the Proprietor of Quality School, Obiaruku in  Ukwuani Local Government Area, their patrons including the State Commissioners for Basic and Secondary Education as well as the National President of NAPPS in Nigeria of their resolutions.
