Ijaw National Congress Frowns against intimidations, calls for apology

The group known as the Ijaw National Congress ( INC) has called  on the Federal government and the Military insisting on a public  apology to a  revered leader,  Pa Edwin Clark over the intimidations and harassment melted on him as a result of the Okuoma crisis in Delta State 

in a statement issued by INC National President, Professor Benjamin Ogele Okaba, was made available to Journalists in Asaba.

According to the statement , Pa EK Clark has never been a violent person describing  him as a lawyer, crusader for justice, equity and fairness across Nigeria stressing that he has always  been a voice to the voiceless and powerless and  a defender of the defenseless.

The statement  states that it was  a deliberate action to silence, intimidate one of the loudest and credible voices in the South/South and the Niger Delta Region. 

It also states, that observation shows that personalities from other regions of the country with same status  like that of Pa EK Clark have never been subjected to such humiliating and tortuous treatment. 

INC noted that  as Nigerian, nobody should be treated as a second class citizen, especially a man of honour like PA EK Clark, a revered and respected Izon icon.
