The Delta State police Commissioner Mr Abaniwonda Olufemi has deployed security personnel to all part of the state to protect lives and properties especially during the Eid-El-fitr
He promised to combat crime and criminality, enhance public safety and security across the State during the Eid-El-fitr celebration.
The CP in a statement issued by the police public Relations office Bright Edafe said all Area Commanders, Tactical Commanders, and Divisional Police Officers in the Command are to setup surveillance in their respective Zone.
He called officers to be proactive and ensure effective policing during the Eid-el-fitr celebration to ensure adequate security throughout the festivities period
He extended his warmest felicitation to all the Muslim Ummah residents in the state
The CP noted that Eid is the epitome of collective happiness, and the month of Ramadan and advised Muslim faithful to promote harmony , show love and affection towards all irrespective of tribe or religion background or culture.
He admonished them to be security conscious, law abiding and take appropriate measures towards personal protection and their personal effects, not only at home but also in public places such as markets, worship centers, shopping malls and highways.
