The Nigeria Port Authority NPA Warri has be described as a commercial vibrant Spot at Warri Delta State, and should be protected against all forms of illegalities
Mr. Kingsley Majemite, lamented over the illegality happening at the Warri Port gate emphasizing that such activities could never be condoned at the Lagos Ports.
He said with the collection of two thousand Naira at the gate which was recently increased to four thousand Naira, would led to a slow down of business activities in the Port.
According to him, this would cause delay in exiting cargoes from the port and was of the view that importers were suffering the huge increase.
He stated some challenges that was hammering the activities at NPA Warri to include the non dredging of the waters ways which collapsed ten years ago stressing that it had made it impossible for Warri Port to actually serve it full capacity as a hub for commercial activities in the south-south, as well as some commercial centers in the south-east.
He frowned at the activities of indigenes saying that , such activities would prevent investors from investing their money at NPA Warri.

Acccording to report, The port manager at NPA Warri has tried severally to stop the activities of the hoodlums, but they have always find their way back.
Some respondents, therefore called on the Federal Government to check the illegalities happening at NPA WARRI noting that the Warri Port remains a goldmine, as it helps to compliment the activities of the Lagos port adding that the NPA Warri should not be destroyed by individual interest
The Managing Director of NPA, Mohammed Bello-Koko stated that the Agency has observed a lot of encroachment, even on the path leading to the port and called for sanity to be put in place while urging the management on the need to take possession.
