The Vice President South South of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalist Comrade Stella Macaulay gave the commendation while speaking with Journalist, in Asaba the Delta State Capital.
She noted that the Akwa Ibom State governor's support, and recognition towards the role played by both father and daughter was worthy of emulation, and called on every parent to take the girl Child development as a critical factor geared towards building a viral Nation considering the fact that developing the girl child could be translated to the development of every part of the family unit and the Nations socio political and economic growth
The South South Vice President NAWOJ reiterated, that Governors and political office holders, should be commitment to advocating for policies and programmes that would uplift and empower young women across the states and nations.

Comrade Macaulay said the Governor’s act of kindness did not only honour the achievements of one young woman from another state (Cross Rivers State) other than his own but also stands as a testament and as efforts needed to ensure that every girl should be given the opportunity to thrive and succeed, regardless of the circumstances confronting the family
She said considering the fact that the father was living in a mud house did not create a barriers to her education.
News Tribe Communications, recalled that the female NYSC member , did a salute to her father on completion of her service year , appreciating him for sponsoring her education through tertiary institution against all odds, the posted video of the event went viral and the Akwa Ibom State Governor took interest in her story and luck located her.
