The event which took place at the Event Center in Asaba had in attendance prominent personalities as well as captivating performance by different choir ministration.
The Deputy State Coordinator, Delta South on religious matters Dr Godspower Agbuduta said the Easter cantata was put together for Christians from different denominations and to call to mind the significant of the Easter Celebration.
Dr Agbuduta who is also the former Senior Special adviser to the State Government on Religious Affairs and the immediate past Executive Assistant on peace building and conflict resolution underscored the importance of the Easter Cantata and called on all irrespective of religious background to pray for the growth and progress for the leadership of the state with a view to achieving the MORE Agenda of governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
According to him, the State Government, under the leadership of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori is dedicated to engaging religious communities to foster cooperation in the State.
The Deputy State coordinator Delta South advised everyone present, at the Easter Cantata not to take the grace of God for granted but appreciate the sacrifices of Jesus Christ and the blood he shared on the Cross of Calvary to save mankind.
He noted that the Governor having identified the significance of the season decided to organized Easter Cantata as a resounding success of his election victory and all that God is doing in the state
He noted that bringing together individuals from diverse backgrounds to celebrate the spirit of Easter was a reassurance of the importance of faith and unity in the state with a view to fostering unity and harmonious relationship among the Christian faith.
The Deputy State coordinator Dr Agbuduta said the 2024 Easter Cantata with the theme Easter Victory highlighted the state government's commitment to promoting peace and understanding among its citizens.
The event featured various prayer sessions to include, prayers for the Governor and people of State, for economic stability and divine security in the state
Other prayer points focused on peaceful elections and smooth Transition of the local government elections
