250 members of Persons With Disability are benefiaries , of State government Contributory Health scheme, says Dr. Isaac Akpoveta,

250 persons with disability  drawn from  25 local Government Areas of Delta State have benefited from the  Delta State contributory Health Insurance scheme.

The Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the State Contributory Health Commission, Dr. Isaac Akpoveta, stated  this he played host to the Joint National Association of Persons With Disability at the Commission headquarters in Asaba.

Dr. Akpoveta said the composition was made by selecting 10 Persons from the 25  local Government areas of the state. 
According to him,the state government paid for their Health Insurance to enable them receive quality healthcare services, and to help them reduced the high cost of medical care. 

Dr. Akpoveta said  various initiatives like the Indigent Enrollee Adoption Initiatives,
Artisans Enrollee Inducement Initiatives and the Delta State Health Insurance Commission strived to break down barriers and create a more inclusive healthcare system that caters for the diverse needs of the people.

While acknowledging the fact that  Persons With Disabilities may be face by challenges,to include social stigma, discrimination, and limited access to essential services, he said It is the collective responsibility of citizens to create an inclusive society that respects and values the contributions of every
citizen.

Earlier, the leader of the delegation and Chairman of the Joint National Association of Persons With Disability Comrade Ernest Igbozor had appealed to the Commission to provide a soft landing for their members to enable them received healthcare without any form of hitches.
