Delta State joins the rest of the world to mark international children's day 2024

As part of activities to mark the 2024 May 27 international children's day, the Delta State government has called on Stakeholders to avail Children the Opportunity of building a better future. Governor Sheriff Oborevweri stated this at the international children's day event put together by the Ministry of Women Affairs Community and Social Development held at cenotaph Asaba, the Delta state capital The governor, represented by his deputy Sir Monday Onyeme said children as leaders of tomorrow should be encouraged to develope skills that could turn around the economic status of the Country. Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has promised to put in measures that will ensure the total well being of the children in the state. Inline with the theme of this year's international Children's day"Enhancing total well being for the Nigerian Child through quality Education and skill Development" was harps as it would create a enabling environment for a secured future.
