The Edo State House of Assembly resumes plenary today 7 may 2024 after adjournment for the Suspension of three members of the House.
Edo State House Of Assembly has suspended three members of the House over an alleged plot to impeach the Speaker and other Principal Officers of the House
The members were Hon Bright Iyamu Orhionmwon II constituency, Hon Isibor Addeh Emakhu Esan North East I, and Hon Donald Okogbe Akoko-Edo II.
The Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon. Blessing Agbebaku, who said they were suspended indefinitely, for plotting to change the leadership of the House.
He alleged that the three suspended members were being influenced by external forces to cause chaos and remove the leadership of the House.
The situation degenerated into a mild drama that ensued between the Speaker, Rt Hon Agbebaku and the suspended members who disagreed with him upon the announcement of their suspension.
