Commissioner for Information urges individuals on constructive criticism

The Delta State government has been drawn to  the article titled: GOV. SHERIFF OBOREWORI'S MANY LAPSES: DELTA YOUTHS AND THE WOMEN GROUPS WILL NOT WORK FOR HIM IN 2027.
 The State Commissioner for Information Dr Ifeanyi Osuoza said the article was an attempt by the  author, Engr. Eboh Oke Gift, at falsifying and misrepresenting the true situation of things in the state


The information Commissioner who frowned at the article said it as become obvious that  critics and detractors of the Governor Sheriff Oborevwori's administration, were increasingly becoming bereft and deprived of real and genuine issues of governance, leadership and administration stressing  that the governor's one year in office cannot put to rest all the problems of the state describing Engr Eboh Oke as critic  desperate  in playing down the good effort of the State government 

 
He noted that  the writer's   article was misleading and inaccurate and advised Deltans not to believe any negative report as being represented by Engr Eboh's  saying it was an effort to smear the Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori's administration.

Dr Osuoza, judging from the numbers of projects embarked upon by the Governor Oborevweri administration in just one year in office, said all  strata of the society have benefited , through road construction, in the health sector, as well as in the areas of employment. While also stating the governor, s wife commitment to there pet project " you matter foundation ' which has positively impacted on lives. 


The information Commissioner emphasized , that it was too early to criticize the  administration of  Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to begin to dwell on what the electoral predilections of Delta youths and women will be come 2027. 

He said beyond the  statutory obligatory mandate of the Governor as the leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP faithfuls  should put in their collective effort to ensure resounding electoral victory for the party in the Local Government Council elections slated for July 13, across the three Senatorial zones, Governor Oborevwori is quite focused and predominantly preoccupied with delivering the dividends of Democracy to Deltans as encapsulated in the MORE Agenda,  unwavering determination in the last one year.

Reacting to his write up on the state federal allocation ,internally generated revenue, and the removal of fuel subsidy by the federal government the Commissioner described Engr. Eboh's as  mischievios and ignorant, noted that  Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has embarked on ways to revamp the economy inorder to cushion the   hardship faced by Deltans, in the last one year, to counter Engr. Eboh's false claims.

The information Commissioner highlighted the payment of N10,000 to each of the 50,196 civil servants in Delta State including the 10 tertiary institutions for three months as palliative 

Dr Osuoza  said the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Kingsley Emu, through the Coordinator, of Delta State Palliative Distribution Committee,  also as representatives from NLC and TUC at the State level, as well as faith based organizations, NGOs, Traditional Institutions and Community President Generals at the LGAs level have benefited in various way from the more agenda of Sheriff Oborevweri 


According  to the Commissioner the outstanding performance of governor Oborevweri could be traced to payment of promotion arrears amounting to over N5.6 billion, distributation of the rice and maize as well as  Payment of the 2022/2023 bursary to Delta State students and advised Egnr Eboh to be constructive in his  criticism
