NAWOJ CALLS ON GOVERNMENT AND OTHER RELEVANT BODIES TO HELP TACKLE CHALLENGES FACED BY WOMEN

The Delta State Commissioner for Information, Dr Ifeanyi Osuoza has called on stakeholders to join hands in  tackling the challenges faced by women in Nigeria.

Dr Osuoza Stated this in Asaba the Delta State Capital when the South South Vice President Nigeria Association of Women Journalist,( NAWOJ) and the Delta  State Chair person of the Association paid him a courtesy visit. 


He encouraged  the Nigeria Association of Women Journalist in and out of the State to put in  efforts at increasing  access to information especially for women ,  promote transparency, and  health checks , ensure gender equality,   as well as  address the systemic issues that affect the lives of women generally, while also encouraging them on the need to join hand with his office at Promoting  the policies and programmes of Governor Sheriff Oborevweri's administration. 

He sued for Continued support and innovation aimed at building a more equitable and just society for all women in  Nigerians.

The South South Vice President Zone F Comrade Stella Macaulay outlined various issues confronting Women especially in the area of health 


She sued for partnership between State government and the Nigeria Association of Women Journalist  for regular health check programmes.
The Chairman Person  Delta state Chapter Nigeria Association of Women Journalist, Comrade Sonia Unobujo appreciated governor Sheriff Oborevweri for his commitment to the development of the States through his M.O.R.E agenda, while also calling for support from the state  government to assist NAWOJ in it's up coming activities.
