DELTA PDP DISMISSES LABOUR PARTY'S PROTEST, AHEAD OF LG POLLS



The Delta State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has received a reports of a Protest March by the Labour Party. 

A statement issued by the Delta state Secretary to the PDP Engr. Dan Ossai,
says the State Commissioner of Police, the State Chairman of Delta State Independent Electoral Commission (DSIEC) and the DSS were informed about the protest. 


According to the statement, the Labour Party spokespersons listed their demands and grievances ahead of the July 13, Delta State Local Government Elections, including the conduct of free and fair elections and the announcement of results at polling units. 


Engr. Ossai stated that while  PDP was busy,   campaigning and organizing rallies,  across all the Local Governments areas in adherence to the electoral guidelines  by DSIEC, the Labour Party was  planning  an organize protest march , to complain about the conduct of an elections yet to be held. 

The Delta PDP Secretary said the party  has always embarked on  an  all inclusive rallies, as well as door-door mosquito campaigns ahead of the election, while the oppositions have  always complained and planned  protests instead of campaigning  and selling their candidates  manifesting to the people, 

He explained that the  campaign rallies is an attestation to the popularity of the PDP in all Local Governments and Wards across the State


The State PDP Secretary therefore  called on Deltans to join the  Campaign Rally scheduled for  today Wednesday, July 10, 2024.
