Ismail Lasisi and Lukman Adeyemi , released after, wrongfully convicted


Mr Ismail Lasisi and  Lukman Adeyemi, have both  spent 24 years in prison for a murder  crime  

They were arrested in Oyo State following police inquiries about Mr lasisi and detained in August 2000. 

They were sentenced to death in 2009 for a crime they are  not guilty of . 

In an emotional interview with the victims ,  Mr Lasisi and Adeyemi shared their horrific  experiences. 


Mr Adeyemi, who sometime ago housed Lasisi after a fallout with the prime suspects  was arrested together with his friend when they visited a police station in Oyo State, following police inquiries about Mr Lasisi.

In a surprising twist, the herbalist arrested in connection with the murder was later released by the police. But another suspect who was said to be innocent reportedly died under torture.

According to Mr Lasisi and friend Lukeman ,when they  couldn’t take the torture any anymore, they lied against themselves to prevent further torture

Well-meaning Nigerians have donated at least one million naira on behalf of ex-inmates
