The Director, Delta State Institute of Continuing Education (ICE), Mr. Edwin Chukwuma Onyema, has assured of his unwavering commitment towards repositioning the Institute for greater service delivery.
Onyema stated this in Asaba while receiving excellent performance award from the Royal Youth Sports Association.
He said that he was overwhelmed by the recognition and thanked the association for finding him worthy of the honour.
Onyema, who called on well-meaning individuals and corporate organizations to touch lives of others, noted that it was a good thing to impact on lives , especially the less privilege.
The ICE Director, however, stated that the importance of sports development could not be overemphasized , stressing that sports helps in diverting the attention of youths from crimes .
Onyema lauded his staff for their support at all times and appealed to the association to project the state and the institute in good lights.
Earlier, the representative of the association, Mr. Ifeanyi Chukwura explained that the association decided to honour Mr. Onyema for his selfless service to humanity and his love for sporting activities.
Chukwura implored the Director not to relent in his drive for the upliftment of the less privilege, adding that he should continue to remain a good ambassador of the youths .
