A renowned lawyer and human rights activist, Barrister Anthony Sawyer, has asserted that the Ti
Tinubu led administration was driving the nation in the right direction with its numerous achievements, describing the nationwide end hunger protest as uncalled for and not the best solution.
Barr. Sawyer stated this in his country home Okpanam , Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State while fielding questions from journalists.
The legal luminary attributed the prevailing economic hardship in the country to maladministration of precious governments , stressing that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was doing everything humanly possible to address the economic and security challenges as well as the hardship Nigerians were passing through.
He said that the best option was dialogue with the government and not protest, reminding them that it was only through proper engagement and dialogue that meaningful results could be achieved .
Barr. Anthony Sawyer urged Nigerians to be patient with the President Tinubu , reminding them that his policies would put the nation in the right trajectory.
He maintained that Nigeria was polarized and appealed to Nigerians irrespective of their geo political regions to cooperate and support the present administration of Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu, urging them to shun unnecessary sentiments tantamount to bringing division to the country.
Sawyer added that the removal of petroleum subsidy was a strategic measure by Tinubu Administration to stabilize the economy, saying that in no distant time , the country would enjoy the benefits even as ge told Nigerians that the present sufferings would soon be over.
On the local government autonomy, Barr. Anthony Sawyer explained that it was one of the greatest achievements of Tinubu administration, adding that it was the right thing to do in order to bring meaningful socioeconomic development to the people at the grassroots.
Barr. Anthony Sawyer , popularly known as Odumodu Ikenge , called on the leadership of the local government administration to ensure good governance so that the people could enjoy the benefits of the local government autonomy.
