TOLERATE EACH OTHER, COUPLE URGED

Newly married couple have been urged to love and tolerate one another and build the foundation of their marriage in the fear of God.

A foremost community leader in Ogbeowelle Quarters, Okpanam in Oshimili North Local Government Area, Mr. Stephen Ezechie stated this during the traditional marriage ceremony of his nephew, Mr. Onyema Ezechie and his wife,  former miss Isioma Nwaedozie of Umuosume family of Obodogba Quarters, Okpanam.

He said that it was a good thing for two individuals of opposite sex to get married, stressing that the union implied that patience and tolerance were essential ingredients for any successful marriage.

Ezechie , who stated that the groom was the son of his brother, late Mr. Benard Ezechie and described his nephew as a responsible son , added that he possessed the qualities of being a good family man.
Also speaking, the elder brother of the bride , Mr. Gabriel Nwaedozie  said that he was elated that his younger sister had  gotten  married and admonished the couple to see each other as one indivisible family.

He described marriage as the oldest institution, emphasizing that it was the prayer of every parent to see their children got married.

Earlier, the Eze Dibia 1 of Okpanam Kingdom, Chief Afred Ntoka and Ogbueshi Nnamdi Chiemeke advised the groom to accord adequate respect and regards to her husband, his family and the entire Ogbeowelle, reminding her that a woman was not only married to her husband alone but to his family.

While urging the husband to shun any unhealthy attitude towards his wife such as beating of the woman or any form of domestic violence against their daughter, they warned that they would not tolerate such and told their daughter that she should respect her husband for their marriage to see the light of the day .

They particularly informed her that now that she had married she has no other home than that of the husband's home even though she was their daughter.

The couple, Mr. and Mrs. Onyema Ezechie thanked God for giving them their perfect match, adding that they love each other right from the on set.

They appreciated everyone for their support and for identifying with them.

In attendance were Ogbueshi (Dr.) Ogidi Nwabuoku, former Special Assistant to the immediate past Governor of Delta State, Ogbueshi Emeka Dunkwu, popularly known as Ajaja,  Ogbueshi Mordi, the former Chairman of Obodogwugwu Youths, Comrade Chibuzor Nwabuoku  among others .
