Bishops, caution NAFDAC over spiritual products

Bishops  lead protesters   to the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control office in Asaba, the Delta State capital, calling on NAFDAC to refrain from attacked on Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin over spiritual products.
The protesters who were draw from Fufeyin's Church and other Christian faith , carried placards  with different inscriptions said despite the heavy rain  want to register their grievance over attacked on prophet Fufeyin.


Some of the placards read, "Spiritual products have spiritual backing, don't need NAFDAC approval, When it comes to spiritual, respect it among others.


Speaking on behalf of the protesters, the Metropolitan Archbishop of the Charismatic Anglican Church of Nigeria, Most Rev. Prof. Samuel Baaba cautioned NAFDAC on the spiritual matters.

According to him ,NAFDAC does not has right to regulate spiritual product saying that  there is limit to what people can do especially when it comes to matter of faith"


Also speaking, Rector Union Theological Institute and Seminary, Port Harcourt, Evangelical Church, Most Rev. Calixtus and Most Rev. Celestine Ewurum added that they were only interested in the issue that concerned items that are spiritual.

The Bishop and his members are capitalising on the people's faith. If it the products were truly spiritual then the products do not require any promotion. Infact,the should stop trading in God's House. It is because NAFDAC perceives them as traders hence the intervention.
