The Directorate of Local Government Affairs in Asaba hosted a two-day councils. The event, themed "Effective Leadership," held in collaboration with Wisebest Logistics, to enhance leadership skills was well-attended by all council leaders. Commissioner Kalamana Penawou in charge of the Local Government Directorate Affairs, emphasized the importance of equipping local government leaders with necessary skills and knowledge. He defined effective leadership as guiding, inspiring, and influencing others to achieve common goals. Retired Head of Service in Delta State, Sir Okey Ofili advised the newly appointed leaders to build strong relationships with their subordinates and work harmoniously with their Vice Chairmen. PDP Chairman Delta South Senatorial District, Honourable Emmanuel Amgbaduba, urged the local government leadership to align with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori's MORE Agenda and deliver democratic dividends to grassroots citizens. Other attendees included Permanent Secretary Mrs Anastasia Nwanze and retired Permanent Secretary Mr Eric Ebijuwa who was the guest of Honour at the event
