PIONEER ALGON COMMISERATES WITH UKPE FAMILY

The leadership of the pioneer ALGON (1999--2002)has paid glowing tributes to Hon Emeke Ukpe who passed on recently.
The group led by their chairman,RT Hon Ovwigho Igbuya made these remarks when they visited the family at Kwale.
Speaking on the occasion, RT Hon Ovwigho Igbuya said that they had come to identify with the family of late Hon Emeke Ukpe to express the condolence was a jolly good fellow and a committed member of the association till he passed on .
Hon igbuya said that Emeke Ukpe was not only his colleague as a local government council chairman,but that they were also in the house of assembly together..
He added that the late Emeke was prompt to attending meetings and also contributed to the growth and strengthening of the group till date.
He encouraged the family to take heart and be consoled in the good legacies their father left behind and promised that they will attend the burial ceremonies.
On his part, Chief Sam Chukwuji who was the chairman of Ndokwa East local government council during the period that as next door neighbors, they always shared notes and experience together as they had similar challenges.
He said that Ukpe was not just a colleague but a brother.
Chief George Osikoribia,who was chairman of ughelli North LGA said that he had a constant touch with Ukpe before he took ill and always believed that he would bounce back to life.
Chief  Emmanuel Onoriode Edevor, former chairman of isoko North LGA ,on his part said that he their time in council, Emeke caused him to make Kwale a regular point of stop anytime he was going to or coming back from Asaba.
Also present in the meeting was Barr Raymos Guanah,the secretary and former chairman of Patani local government area.
Barr Raymos Guanah that Emeke Ukpe was humble and friendly.
Responding on behalf of the family,hon Augustine ossai thanked the delegation for coming.
He said that the burial has been fixed for 6th December 2024.
The family delegation was led by mr uche Ukpe,the younger brother of late Emeke Ukpe,his younger sister,Christy Ukpe, kpetus Ukpe and his children azuka Ukpe,chukwuyenum Ukpe ,Ada Ukpe among other family members 
The highlight of the ceremony was the signing of the condolence register by RT Hon ovwigho igbuya
